🌍 Why continue the fight against polio? Witnessing disengagement in polio eradication efforts, Rotary member Alain Bouvard led an initiative to revive commitment. He led 19 Rotary members from France to Pakistan, where they actively participated in immunizing children against polio. This direct involvement highlighted the ongoing critical need to sustain efforts toward a polio-free world. #EndPolio 🔗https://lnkd.in/gv95nicq _________________________________________________ 🌍 Pourquoi continuer la lutte contre la polio ? Children's Hospital Colorado was faced with a critical shortage of pediatric mental health specialists. Suicide had become the leading cause of death for the state's adolescents ages 10-18. Three members of the Rotary Club of Highlands Ranch took notice and decided to confront the issue head-on. Together, Debby Doig, Shrin Murthy, and Tamara Fennell spent more than a year crisscrossing the state to talk about youth mental health at Rotary clubs. The result? They raised $500,000 to establish the Rotary Clubs of Colorado Endowed Fellowship for Pediatrics Mental Health. The direct impact? A single fellow can see $1,500 patients per year💛 on.rotary.org/4alBSyR
